FAQs

This page is designed answer some of the most Frequently Asked Questions we get. If you don't find answers to your questions here, don't hesitate to contact us.

Q: Is a Deposit required?

A: Yes. A 50% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking. After your deposit has been received you will be emailed a confirmation of your hunt and dates. A date is not considered "booked" until your deposit is received. The balance of the hunt is due upon arrival and prior to the first hunt.

Q: If a group of us are coming and one or more hunters are unable to attend after we have made our deposit can his/her deposit be applied to the balance of the other hunters in the party?

A: No. We plan hunts and groups around the number of people for that particular hunt/day. If a hunter is unable to attend they forfeit their deposit and it becomes the property of CCO.

Q: Can I bring my own dog?

A: Yes. If you are booking a private party hunt with 8 or more hunters in your group. However, PLEASE NOTE, for the safety and enjoyment of everyone in the group we require all guest dogs be steady to shot and able to sit quietly while the birds are working. If at any point in the hunt one of our guides seems your dog a distraction to the hunt or a safety hazard, we reserve the right to have you remove your dog from the field.

Q: Do I need to bring waders?

A: Waders are not necessary as long as you have waterproof boots. If we are hunting water and you would like to help set out and pick up decoys then you will need to bring waders. Some people opt to wear waders for the added warmth they provide. We would rather have them and not need them than not have them.
Q: Am I guaranteed to kill my limit on every hunt?

A: Unfortunately we can not make this guarantee. It's called "hunting", and not "killing", for a reason. Waterfowl are a wild animal and therefore are uncontrollable. Sometimes shooters miss. Sometimes birds are flared...We are good at what we do and will do everything in our power to give you a great hunt. However, we can make no guarantee that you will shoot your limit.
Q: If a group of us are coming will be able to have a private hunt with just us and a guide?

A: Yes. As long as there is at least 8 in your group you can request a private hunt. If there are less than 8 in your group and you want a private hunt the group will be required to pay for a 8 person hunt.

FYI: At any point during the hunt a CCO guide can terminate the hunt or ask a hunter to leave the field if he deems them unsafe or if they are impeding the enjoyment of the other hunters in a mixed party hunt. If this occurs, no refunds will be given.
